Anybody make a homemade exhaust flame thrower?

By far the loudest backfire I have ever heard was a 29 model T... That damn thing sounded like a 50 caliber...
I called my best friends uncle and got the low down on how to run that thing...
He laughed and said he would do that all the time on purpose...
