340 Article

-
Old write up I love reading. I have that article saved in a binder I just took out a few days ago and re read.

I also remember the crate motor shoot out.
That was a good one.

I remember Mopar Muscle doing "resto" dyno tests. They did a 340, 383, and 400. The 340, other than machining and an MSD dyno distributor, was stone stock. Intake and exhaust manifolds, and the stock AVS. There were some tuning issues with the AVS. I think it made 272 h.p. They then did the four bolt on mods: cam, carb, intake, headers. Made almost 400. What's up with that frost plug comment? These ain't no fuckin 350 or 400 chubby engines!!!!!

Must be an old article. "Our Six Pack is a 1970 unit; Edelbrock still makes them."

I don't recall a 70 B bodies having 340's.
