Your first car.
1975 Plymouth Valiant Brougham 2 door Slant 6.
A typical winter driven Ontario car. I made the mistake of getting the underbody industrial sandblasted and it ruined the car. It was never the same after that.
I came around a corner on my street in the winter, slid and hit the curb which tore the upper control arm away from the frame. Rather than repair it, I parted it out.
I would love to buy another ‘75 Valiant so I could re-live 1987.
My Dad’s 1981 Olds Toronado is in the back ground. I remember when I was around 17 years old my Dad left me his car when my parents went on vacation. I laid a beating on that car. It was floored at every green light. I manually shifted the transmission to redline at every opportunity.
My Dad gets back from vacation and asked me “what did you do to my car!”.
I just about crapped myself and gingerly replied “nothing.......why?"
He says “I thought maybe you changed the plugs because it’s idling much smoother”......
