Instead of working on the car, I woke up to no heat in the house. How does the furnace know the coldest day of the year to quit?? Spent a good part of the day troubleshooting, then finding the part, picking it up, and wiring it in. Thankful to have heat back!

I feel for ya Demon. Glad it was a fairly easy fix. Last year...on the coldest day...our oil fired furnace puked into the box and onto the floor. Needed to replace the whole thing including the burner. Luckily had some knowledgeable help and got it done in 2 days. Pretty costly too and was only 15 years old.
Luckily it was a Weil Mclain unit and after contacting them they covered 50% ($1100) of the furnace cost!!! Must have been some kind of defect. Would have never known until a friend mentioned he had similar issue so if you have a Weil Mclain furnace keep that in mind.

Ps...You'll need new Valve seats cut :rofl:

Keep up the good work. I still have time before I'll need them. Just don't grind thru a water passage.

Thx! But nope, just a gas forced air furnace. Always thankful when it turns on so gotta keep it going. Was grateful RepairClinic.com had the part locally and that this blower control module was actually the issue!
 
Got my rebuilt trans back from the shop I trusted to rebuild it. Looks great. Now it just needs to get back into the car. Should it be left natural finish or should I paint it. Hopefully I'll get started on reassembly after work today.

I would say it depends on your road conditions. If it's going to be subject to salt and other nasties I would probably consider painting it, if not I would leave it natural like the factory

Clear it up. I use gloss clear. Makes it super easy to keep clean and it won't oxidize.

I was thinking about just a couple coats of clear. I will do that. The car is a under construction garage queen that gets driven often when the weather is nice. No salty roads in its future. Maybe caught in rain but that's it.

I have an idea....how about practice on people's teeth before working on things that really matter, like cylinder heads?!:lol:

I've been drilling and filling teeth non stop this semester. I have a bunch of crowns and bridges that are about to start though. The drills and burrs for heads are just "slightly" larger...
