Is She or Isn't She (driveshaft balanced)?
Only Drive Line Service in California knows at this point. While cleaning up my converted ball and trunion driveshaft (was converted over ten years ago now), I noticed an area on one end where there is the shadow of a former balancing weight. For now, I observe one washer welded onto each end of the driveshaft.I will never never know if the weight/washer fell off or was removed during the re-balance. From now on I will perhaps document where the weights are located on the stuff I get balanced (rim/wheel, driveshaft, etc.) That way I will know if the weights are missing later on.
