Whatever happened to whitepunkonitro

I bought off of him. Great prices and parts. And i watch his videos. I dont understand the need to **** on everyone that is on the internet. It's a toxic trend.

It is, isn't it? I guess it's an ugly part of human nature to dog pile.

It is yet another bad side effect of social media to include texting and chatting on forums. Not only has grammar, spelling and punctuation taken a HUGE hit, but the impersonal aspect of it causes people to say things they would NEVER say to another person's face. I am a firm believer in do unto others as you would have them do to you. We seem to have lost that feeling. Not only in general, but specifically on this forum. Some of the language towards others is uncalled for.

I'm not a NOS fan. Some are, I'm not. I don't bother to click on threads or videos about NOS. To click on every thread about NOS and bash it, try to convince everyone they are cheating if they use it, or every video about NOS and make negative remarks is just pointless to me and I'd never waste my time of life (we only get so many minutes, ya know). Just say'n.....
Had to think a second if you meant New Old Stock, then realized Nitrous Oxide.

I don't have my feelings hurt. I pointed out he took parts he damaged (possibly from incompetence) back to the store and got a refund. That's a shyster move in my opinion. He is the one who put that in his video, not me. Your upset, I get that, but you feel like he is somehow beyond reproach, that's kinda interesting.
lord help me, but just out of curiosity, what is wrong with returning broken or inoperable parts to the parts store. It is about impossible with Rockauto, and in my experience, allot of the Chinese or foreign manufactured parts are sub par, with failures about as high as 1 in 5 parts you buy. I have bought shocks that were no good, returned items re-shelved instead of returned to the manufacturer, etc.

What is wrong with legitimately returning crap parts?

Nothing wrong with it at all.

IF it is not something the customer did. I sold auto parts "in a previous life" for 17 years. You would not believe some of the **** I've seen.

One "memorable" episode was a bunch of (turned out to be fly by night) roofers who'd bought several drill motors from us, then got mad when we would not warrantee them.

What was wrong with them? THEY HAD FALLEN OFF THE ROOF

I'm sorry, but if you'd bought a new Mopar with "5 and 50" and then drove it off an embankment, it will NOT be covered LOLOL

Nowadays, returns are a little different than they used to be. Vendors that parts stores buy from have a certain percentage for returns already figured into the numbers going into it, so they already know there are going to be returns. That figure is normally up around 30%, so it's not like what he did is hurtin anybody anyway. More likely is people will be inconvenienced more by the crap *** parts the stores sell, than the small percentage of returns (always under that 30% threshold) to those stores. The way I see it, the multi billion dollar companies are getting back everything they deserve. Keep in mind, O'Reilly's profit goal for 2020 was TEN BILLION DOLLARS (and they crushed it), yet here's a company that cringes to pay their parts people over 10 dollars an hour. I got no problem returning parts, regardless of the situation. I mean "who" is being unethical here?

I've watched a video or two of his and honestly just couldn't get into them. I don't know him, never dealt with him or met him, so I can't say anything on his character. I personally wouldn't take most people's word on YouTube as gospel for anything, but that doesn't mean I won't watch. I don't agree with bashing him because you disagree with something he's said or done. If he were beating people out of money that would be different, but I don't think returning what he said were faulty lifters makes him a bad person.
I understand that. Allot of it is geared towards entry level. Moparofficial isn't wrong (as RRR has put out before) buy the manuals, and dig in!
I am just past entry level and the videos are hit and miss with what appeals to me because of my ignorance with some of the mechanics

I am sure he would completely adjust or 'improve' the projection of the message if the material was geared towards RRR or Moparofficial level of experience (highly mechanically competent {if I didn't include you, i just don't know you, yet) in something similiar like ford or gm guru entering into Mopar for the first time

I think this point (target audience, & their understanding) is what is being driven over and around between the mild animosity and disagreement of perspective.

If I may so humbly suggest to my fellow FABO members, after one statement, and one defending of the statement/argument, it would be best to drop it as the opposing viewer either will accept the viewpoint in consideration, or most likely never agree to it

Because most often people will not agree with you, you may as well be arguing with a rock, which is a waste of your time.

As for antagonizing another for disrespecting you on the keyboard, anyone of us would be hard pressed to explain any positive outcome, any beneficial outcome, from arguing with emotion or being slighted from disrespect.

The other person is NOT worth your time or emotion. And none of us would think less of you for not responding to non-stop antics. There always be assholes and dumbasses, we cannot change them for the better nor enlighten them.

Well this asshole "RIGHT HERE" doesn't wanna be changed. He probably wouldn't mind bein enlightened, though. LMAO

just the other day, one of our members shared a story, where they had bought a radio at a store in seattle, used it for a road trip and returned it for a full refund at a sister store in california

i thought that was kinda dishonest aswell

It honestly has nothing to do with what he does or builds (because I like Roadkill style builds) or even his expertise, but it's just something about the presentation that doesn't appeal to me. I was born and raised into auto mechanics and performance cars since my Dad worked on cars since his teens and had been racing dirt late models for about 10 years when I was born. But just because I don't enjoy them doesn't mean I'm going to bash him. Even if I had a personal issue with him, I wouldn't broadcast it to the world, I just was raised like that. But I can promise you, as the son of a former business owner, it doesn't matter what you do to please somebody, some people cannot (or won't) be happy with anything.

Whatever happened to “Lustle” that’s what I want to know! Came in hot and heavy for a couple years and then “Poof” no more. I bet someone knows who he is and that he is using an alias!

You seem to be confusing 2 different things here. UTG returned lifters he damaged on a cam break in, the 5.7 cam issues are factory cam failures that typically occur after some years and mileage.
My 2004 5.7 has 280K miles. Maybe it's the Valvoline synthetic blend that's delaying this cam failure? I feel fortunate.

Oh no, what did I bring up??

Not long after I joined, he disappeared.

What I want to know is...what happened to that one member who posted two pictures of herself sitting on the hood of her dart and the disappeared into thin air ?
