Stop in for a cup of coffee
I managed to cut up the 20’ pine that blew down in the storms and fubared my back just before Christmas and get it out on the curb in time for the annual Christmas tree collection last week.
Since it was a pine and the top 6’ looked like a Christmas tree, they didn’t bat an eye and just tossed it all on the truck to haul away.
I wonder if they didn’t think the extra limbs and 10” diameter trunk logs were a bit strange...but probably didn’t care...just municipal workers out doing a job.
Now all that’s left is the bottom 2’ of trunk and root ball to hack up in the Spring. Figure if I let it rot a while, the part of the root ball that didn’t break off when it went down will be easier to remove.
