I'm putting together a 470 stroker & have 2 inch primary hooker super comp fenderwell headers, I've heard of people having clearance issues, I'm just curious on those who have this set up what front tires sizes you get away with, without hitting the headers? I will be doing a engine plate mount also

Can only guess but skinnies up front for sure, I would assume.

Yeah, I have 15×4 weld draglites. Basically trying not to look dorky with 24 inch tall front tires & 31 in tall slicks out back, if you've seen that it looks good on a dragster but not a full body car

Are you running small bolt or big bolt on the front and what wheels are you interested in running on the car.

Frank
Large bolt pattern. I have 15×4 or 3.5 weld draglites. This is a 70 dart also, I was thinking I could buy new wheels with as little back space as possible so the wheels sit farther out towards the fender, but I'll be pulling the wheels off the ground & that could be a problem in its own

Ok , I have a pair of 15 x 4 cop style steel wheels for sale , but they would be heavier that the wheels you have. They are brand new , made by Specialty Wheel when they were still in business.

you cant run very tall of a tire with the fenderwell headers, probably worse if you ditch the backspace and move the tire out.
problem is when you turn the wheels hard the tire will rub on the drivers header Bad. think my headmans were slightly better.
think I ran 165r15's and they still rubbed. I think when I put the car back together im moving the engine back in my car ( will have to modify a bunch of stuff ).

If it helps, 165 SR on 15"X5"-3-1/2" BS. It's 25-1/2" tall tire with 2" Hookers. The taller stance helps but the passenger side can be brutal on a right turn into an uphill driveway. The D70-14s, approximately the same height, way back were even worse as I recall.
