They keep puttin' the money out to fix them. Much to the enjoyment of Local 3 Operating Engineers and friends. Those slides are getting more frequent every winter. Year or two it be all perty again.
Last time I was on the PCH must've been 1980. Met some cool people launching RC planes with very large rubber bands off of the cliffs out over the ocean.
