Stop in for a cup of coffee
So how is the Dart coming?? And the 440?? 440 going in the Dart right?
Good so far. Been too cold to work on it much, below 40 degrees and I won’t even mess with it. Instead, I’m doing little things that can be done from inside the house. Things that don’t really need done at the moment, but will need done on the backside to finish it so it’ll all work out. Things like working on the dash bezel, which is going to truly be one of a kind. That one, I’m holding very close to the vest for now. It’s a bold concept and I wanna see how it turns out first
440 is now a rotating short block, minus the cam. I’m hoping to order the cam here in the coming weeks now that I confirmed deck height and compression ratio. It is going into the dart.
darts next work day will include the final welding of the rear tubs and final fitting of the quarters. Then it’s on the the last part of the welding, the trunk floor. I’m taking the slow, measure like 8 times before fully welding approach. I ended up purchasing a positive filtered air breathing system so I can start prepping a makeshift paint booth. First week above 70 degrees, with no rain or low humidity, and I’m planning on priming.
