The darn thing was getting too nice. But what can I say. I really like the car...
I also got a partial scarebird kit from this board and had to ditch the 9” drums. They are way better than the 9’s. But not much better than the 10” drums. Just my opinion but I also didnt use a proportioning valve ...maybe others have opinions on that

so that how she was all summer. Just drove her whenever. But started planning for the next rally race.... I picked up that four door valiant I posted a while back while I still was planning for the next race. And then Facebook marketplace happened...
 
I saw an ad for a fiberglass 70-72 el Camino hood. It was $25...

I have no idea what the bungs on the header tubes by the flange...but it reminded me of Internet gold

Scoop removed from the el Camino hood. Here it is resting on the valiant. It looks just as ridiculous on the dart

I didn’t want to do anything permanently outlandish to the car since it’s come a king way. So I found a 67 dart hood on fb marketplace.
It was super clean. I offered it up to trade for a crusty one but no dice. So it got cut

Blacked out the hood and added a stripe. So either the hood was too cold when I cleared it, or the clear and rustoleum don’t mix well. Tons. I mean tons of orange peel on the black.

Race is less than two months away! All paid up. Swapped on the spare ridiculous hood. Looks.......

You get points based on theme / ridiculousness. If you have an eastern block car you get tons of points
 
Well. Race postponed until December due to covid. We'll see
