Thinking of upping my game, not interested in hearing about how I’ll make more power with a 4bbl, had many 4bbl/two plane / single plane combos, my ported intake with mechanical carbs pulls just as hard if not harder with my current setup. So share your 11 second combos!

heres one

For up to about 3500lb race weight, figure on making about 440-450hp, uncorrected, as the motor sits in the car on the starting line.
Cam/converter/gears....... all on the same page.

If I were building it, it would be something like a 10.5:1 stroker, RPM type heads, SFT cam, headers.
I would be targeting 475-500 STP corrected power on the dyno.

That’s based on the assumption you’re not racing at a high attitude track.

My father's AAR went 11.50's with a 402 cu in small block, 11: 1, factory heads, exhaust manifolds, factory exhaust, intake, carbs. Pretty much full weight. Also factory g60 polyglass tires. Six pack setups work pretty well.

When I first had a stroker motor built with a 6 pack, I wanted to see if how the same motor ran with a big 4bbl on the dyno. The results were interesting. Valve train instability(which is evident on the dyno charts) almost cost me the motor, and led me to switch over to a street friendly 10.2 to 1 compression, a custom valvetrain set-up by B3 Racing and I went to a solid roller picked by Dwayne Porter, who found the root of my problem and helped figure a way out of it. The car runs below the 11's, but the information is still interesting.

WOW. Made more power at 3500 than a stock 440-6 was rated for peak

This is the fastest one I know of.....yes..it is a Legal NHRA Stocker....has been parked for years...This was in 2006

Gene Buell, Hesperia, Calif., '70 Challenger, C/SA, 10.596 seconds, -1.394 (under index)

And that was in Vegas air....
