I have a Borg Warner street/strip clutch and pressure plate assembly I removed out of my Duster when I pulled the engine some 14 years ago. I installed it new a very long time ago but probably has fewer than 3000 miles on it. Based strictly on age, would you re-use it (providing it passes a thorough inspection) or just chuck it in the trash and start fresh with a new one along with the motor build?

I'd use it. Not like it was loaded (bolted up) for 14 years. It should be fine.

Try it if it doesn’t feel good you can always pull it out and buy a new one , your time is cheep ,parts are not .

Probably better quality than the Chinese crap of today.
Personally I would run it.

Clutch technology has improved. If this is a budget build vs high end? That answers itself?

Yes I would in a heartbeat. I will not by a new pressure plate, I have my old one's rebuilt. Like said above, they worked fine back then and were made in America...
