Are A bodies more popular than B bodies?
In the late 90s I was watching one of thoughs late Sunday morning Road and Track shows. Comparing the new Challenger, Camero and Mustang. (Base model V-8s) on a road course. The complaint was that none of the three cornered very well. The Camero out performed the other 2. But not by anything significant. Thus concluding everyone's complaints. They then brought out a base model '69 Charger. 383 auto transmission. The crews and commentators were literally laughing. As the test driver. Saying he has not driven a Charger of that era before. But expects it to stumble. He took it around that track. Got out after tying the Camaro's time. Smiling. "It definitely corners better than you would think." "Some body roll." But the 383 had enough power to pull out of trouble." I of course was laughing. Yelling at the screen. "Upgrade the torsion bars to what the Hemi and/or 440-6 cars had? "Then try?" Bye bye Camaro!"
