Not to pile on, not my intention. But whoever told you you needed more cfm and adjustability than a 650 AVS2 doesn't have a clue.
Holleys can be tough if you don't know what you are doing with them.(especially being clueless with them, like you said you are). Hopefully you get it figured out.
