Stop in for a cup of coffee

My friend who rents my house in Memphis just texted me. They are expected to get 4-8” of snow tomorrow with a high of 17* and a low tomorrow night of 4*. The cold and snow is expected to continue for days.

That much snow and those kind of cold temps will cripple the city. People will likely die.

They just aren’t equipped for it. No snow plows, no salt trucks and many houses just don't have insulation or heating systems that can keep up. Most of the cars on the road are running half worn Summer tires and very little antifreeze in the cooling system.

When I lived there, one day with 4” of snow and 20* overnight wrecked the city. This is going to be a disaster.

Like snow in about 80% of California effect. Weird, I actually saw a CalTrans truck with a plow attached the other day in Santa Barbara which is right on the beach :realcrazy:. Probably a refugee from the higher elevations , or it's on a snowbird type vacation
