Post Office strikes again

The 70 pound limit is not unrealistic. I worked in the plant, all of our containers had weight limits. There is a big aluminum one called a BMC
View attachment 1715691492 we were curious how heavy it would be with brick layed bundles of magazines. We filled it right to the top. Thing as damn near 8k pounds. It would not even roll, we needed to fork lift it on the scale.
The 70lb limit is meant more for carriers and less for the mail handlers.
You guys had equipment to handle it, I had a canvas bag.
When I ever had anything that weighed more than a few pounds, I cut it from the park and loop and dropped it later.
It was impossible to shove so many packages into a mail bag and you certainly couldn't place anything heavy on a 2 mile park and loop.
