All,
The Small Block M1 I have does not have any place for the temp gauge probe.
Any suggestions on a good place to put one?
Or I may end up getting one of the new "Trick Flow" Intakes.
Thanks All!

You could Plug the bypass on your water pump, source a fitting/reducer for the bypass in the intake to fit the probe. Tree’d!!!

Get a raised water outlet from Moroso or others...they have two tapped holes.

Is the existing one (to the left of the thermostat opening in your picture) too small?
Then use one of these:
Thermostat spacer with EFI sensor port | AR Engineering
It says "EFI sensor port" but it'll work just as well for your temp gauge.

I'm running mine in the bypass hose hole in the intake as pictured in post #2. it seems to work well.

Ill be running -8 hoses from the rear of the intake face to the two 3/8" ports....takes hot water from the rear of the heads for extra cooling.

I like that, going to steal that idea when the intake comes off for porting, whenever that is.

Is that the original m1? Mine looks different. Even my port for the bypass is in a different location.
