727 Debacle possibly converter?

When checking fluid level, do you warm it up and put it in neutral? Just makin' sure you aren't over filling it.
Any weird wear on the front seal of the tranny that you pulled? My Frank Lupo 9.5 would not mate into that SCAT crank without honing the nub a couple hundredths.
