Rich, PST is a vendor here. They have a thread in the vendor's section. Maybe if you post a question there, they might see it. Remember too, they offer a member discount, I believe.

thanks Rusty, im trying to get a feel on who makes the best greasable pin.. trying to avoid the cheap stuff....lol

i've heard good things about Proforged greaseable. Not sure, but I think they're made in the US.

what bushings are you using? if you don't have them already check out Bergman's stuff
BUSHINGS
PINS
delrin is self lubricating

I have the Firm Feel LCA pins on my Challenger, Duster and my Dart. They’re great parts, and fit perfectly with Energy Suspension poly LCA bushings and also with Peter Bergman’s Delrin LCA bushings. While the Delrin is supposed to be self lubricating the Firm Feel pins had by far the best fit with those bushings as all the other pins I tried, including a set Peter recommended. That was before he started selling LCA pins for them though.

I haven’t run the others though. I would suspect that some of those offerings are made in the same place, but I don’t know for sure. Hotchkis also also sells a set of greaseable LCA pivots as well.

72blu... firmfeel offers a poly LCA bushing that they sell with the greasable pins, are those energy suspension? if not where would i get a set for them ?

Whoops, I checked my notes, looks like the poly bushings I used were from Prothane 1974 PLYMOUTH DUSTER Prothane Motion Control 4-205-BL Prothane Front Control Arm Bushings | Summit Racing

I bought my Firm Feel LCA pivots bare because I already had the bushings, so I'm not entirely sure which ones come with their kit.

I am going to against the majority here & suggest keeping the factory rubber part. These cars do not have a body rubber mounted to the frame like some other brands. So all the road shock/harshness/vibration gets transferred to the body. Could cause cracks. Have seen inner fenders crack in the area of the upper control arm mounts; solid type bushes would just make a problem like this worse.

Have you run anything other than rubber?

I have. My Duster has almost 30k miles on it since I went to poly and then Delrin LCA bushings. Daily street driving, with 1.12” torsion bars and 18” wheels. No cracks. No terrible “road vibrations”. And much more accurate handling.

I think people overestimate how much dampening the rubber LCA bushings actually provide. That small amount of rubber can’t absorb all that much shock. But a small amount of play at that location does make a difference in the handling response and alignment.

@72bluNblu what kind of grease do you use? Are there any problems using a petroleum based grease with urethane or delrin?

I use Hotchkis super grease on all the poly and Delrin stuff. Lots on the poly, just a light assembly coat for the Delrin as it’s supposed to be self lubricating.

Hotchkis Sport Suspension 3101 Hotchkis Sport Suspension Super Grease | Summit Racing

I know that you’re not supposed to use petroleum based grease for poly or Delrin. But in thinking about it, both of those materials are pretty resistant to most chemicals, so I couldn’t tell you why. I’ve just always used the recommended silicone based grease.

I ended up purchasing the firm feel greasable pivot pins and the prothane bushings.. thanks 72bluNblu
