These Edelbrock exhaust gaskets didn't last 600 miles on #projectvertfish.
But I suppose trying to stuff the 500-ish horsepower from my BPE Magnum 408 through 1967 hi-po 273 factory manifolds creates a lot of pressure?
I'm going to get some TTI headers once my credit card cools down a bit.
Until then I'm going to try the ramflex gaskets and see if they do any better.

Headers or at least 340 manifolds. (almost the same price but less hassle) The factory used embossed steel exhaust gaskets and yes there is a big mis-match in the exhaust ports and those small ported manifolds.
 
I will never run anything besides Remflex exhaust gaskets ever again.
 
We noticed a 7 mph difference between 273 manifolds vs. Headers at the track on a 360 and now it's got a slight gasket leak.
 
Before putting new gaskets on, put a straight edge across the manifold. It may not be totally flat causing the exhaust gases to seek the path of least resistance.
 
I hate to disillusion you, but there are no "273 HP exhaust manifolds". Never made um.
 
Was it the drivers side that was leaking? We had an interference issue with some of the head casting with hp manifolds. Just curious if it's a common thing?

I had to use a 1/4" spacer with Eddy heads and stock 68 340 Exh. manifold on drivers side .
