Lets see those SUPERCHARGER A-Bodies

Ok thanks, that's what made me wonder, the only car I've seen one on had a really tall one. Although using fuel injection could help eliminate some of the height. A couple good carbs is simpler though.

Carbs and Roots blowers kind of go together, Roots blowers aren't very efficient and whip the air around a lot which heats it up; having the fuel go into the blower with the air cools it down. Gale Banks did an interesting test of a Roots blower on top of a Duramax diesel (it's on YouTube) and the blower self-destructed from heat because there was no fuel going through it. He proved that screw-type blowers are superior (like the ones used by all OEMs, Eaton, Magnuson etc), sadly nobody makes a "kit" to put one on an old-school Mopar V8 as far as I know.

Can't argue with the cool factor of a Roots blower though. The most intimidating-looking thing to have in your engine bay, turbos and centrifugal blowers are cool but most of what you see is just piping.
