Hello FABO - I see many posts on rim size and its great information. I recently found a disc brake setup off of a 65 Barracuda that I am putting on my 66 Barracuda. The original Tims I had on my 66 are SBP steelies with dog dish hubcaps. I would like to keep my black rim and dog dish look with the disc brakes. Is this type of setup possible. I've already tried to insert the rotor into the rim, and the center was to large, and the bolt pattern was off. Thanks!!

setup possible?

Now I'm slightly confused. I thought that the rotors were set up for big bolt pattern lugs.

On the rotor the measurement from behind the lug to the center of the next one across is 4 1/2 and the diameter of the center hub is 2 3/4. I thought the big bolts started at 5.5 for the same measurement The rim that I removed, which I thought was a small bolt pattern rim measures 4 inches from lug hole to lug hole and the center bore is about 2 1/2. I hope don't sound to crazy, but I guess I need a clarification the measurements. Thanks!!

I dont think your formula is right.
Hook your tape over a stud, and measure to the middle of a stud two away. That will be your bolt circle.
The one you show in your third photo is right.....5 on 4", sbp.

331MP In the first photo I hooked it on the stud, and went two studs away, and measured 4 1/2. Camera angle may be off just a hair.

Your OEM should be 4 inch bolt circle, 7/16 studs, left hand threads on left side. The later model disc brakes you found are 4&1/2 inch bolt circle, 1/2 inch studs, all right hand threads. Should still be plenty of the later 4&1/2 bolt circle steel wheels available but I dont know if your OEM center caps will fit all of them. Good luck

RedFish, your right, I won't have my left hand threads anymore. One thing I was concerned about was the center bore. I ran across some rims today, and the bolt pattern lined up, but the problem was the center bore was not big enough to allow the rim to get on. Ugghhhh!! Is there a standard center bore measurement for OEMs that i should be looking for?
