The older Gojo is what I used, and it's been a long time. Back before windshield gaskets were reproduced. The Gojo I used had a lot of lanolin in it, which is what softened the rubber seal, but I don't know about petroleum. If it did....I'm sure it's been legislated out by now because it harmed a 4 eyed Hamster living in a Eucalyptus tree somewhere!
