trying to find a source for 1964 barracuda gold aa1 have 9 different cross reference numbers but need code and brand of a car recently painted. napa mixed paint according to aa1 gold poly and it came out silver thank you for any help

Go to a real automotive paint store.
If you have a sample of the OEM paint, inside trunk etc. They can do a good color match.

I needed a rattle can of DD1 and the ppg code was pretty good but the car had been repainted so the shop custom tinted the PPG code paint to match.

A good shop can tell if it needs more white vs more of a particular color etc.

You didn't mention touchup of entire paint job. That makes a big difference. For an entire paint job, minor variances in the exact factory color will likely not be noticeable, For an entire respray, I like the Restoration Shop Color Library Paint from TCP Global.

car has been media blasted so no paint to scan. called sherwin williams paint co. man said they no longer have barracuda gold poly suggested tec base 100619762 or crossfire 4620788 as a close match. painter is having small amount mixed keeping my fingers crossed, had i known it was going to be this hard to find paint i would hav e had paint color scanned, no gold barracudas around here unless someone reading this with correct color could have a scan done and let me know

well we found a very close color sherwin williams tec base 1000619762 from napa no barracudas near me so this will have to do it is what sherwin williams paint recommended when i called them

22461 as well as all other codes cross referenced to aa1 when mixed came out silver
Go to a PPG supplier. Ask them to call PPG and to ask for a "Profit" reading for your paint code. A lot of formulas got lost years ago when paint make-up changed.

My paint supplier got "no formula found" when looking for my '64 Valiant paint code. The called Axalta and got the same color formula crossed to a 64-65 Chrysler.

Were your ventilation flaps under the rear window frame painted body color? That's what I used as a sample to get a can of touch up mixed. I tried straight metallic silver but it was too light, the guy who mixed the little tube of touch up said there was a little green in it...? Barracuda Silver Poly was my goal....Sunburst silver from One Day was close enough and was cheap back in the day. I parked next to a survivor and It was super close. IIRC that supplier is N/A in Cali due to VOC now.
