I'll have to meet up with you sometime to see your car. You clearly do some great-looking work! I don't think we live all that far away from each other. Your hood looks great but my 72 is just not all that perfect if a car. A more simple stripe job will be fine.
Now my 71 Demon will be done properly for a 71. It has the twin scoops and the holes in the hood (covered by the tape in pic below). Layout for it looks something like this....
