This guy has spent thousands to save some money and make his house look hideous. Wonder what the payback time will be? Can you imagine what the cost will be when it's time to shingle the roof? That's if you can get someone to take on the job. I think I would have put the solar panels on the ground but that's just me. LOL

i dont know, put the panels on the roof and you get maximum exposure

my parents have solar panels on their roof and i HATE it

we are talking a 19th century farm house here, no shingles, but red clay roofing tiles


then again, my electric bill last month was in the $400 range
my dads panels make more power in the summer then they need and his meter will actually roll back
usually enough to break even in the winter

he hasnt paid for electricity since they installed that eyesore
