Any chance the Milodon pan with the issue is a counterfeit part. The PRI magazine recently had an article on that. Aftermarket and hot rod parts are plagued with that problem. That does not explain the lack of action by the Milodon person that you are working with.

The counterfeit problem is "supposed to be" mainly happening from unknown sellers like those on ebay. When you buy new name brand parts from bigger established companies like Summit Racing, you don't usually see the counterfeit parts because they use the correct supply chain. So in this case, I would say this is NOT a counterfeit problem.
The interesting part to me is still the fact the Milodon told him there have been no changes to this design, yet we have three different styles of baffles. I guess another small possibility is that someone assembling these at the factory mistakenly installed baffles from another pan design.
