You can find the Mallory 250 pump fairly reasonable used if you look. I just paid a buck fifty for one. I’ll put a 65 dollar kit in it. That’s not bad for that pump.
I bought mine decades ago at a Super Shops warehouse sale. It was a reman, and dirt cheap, maybe $40. Sat on my shelf for ten years, then entirely dependable for 15 years in my bracket car.
As a matter of fact, im still using the reman mallory ignition box and coil i bought at the same sale.
