Easy Run Engine Test Stand

It a value of ones TIME... You want to do it Tony didn't.

Simple as that.

I quit building engine dollies and other items because the $/hr just didn't make sense for the wear and tear on my body.

How many hours would it take to put that together and powder coat it, make all the panels, extension arms, etc... If it took a day or more... if you make 10/hgr in a job, then the trade off is more palatable. If you are making 50/hr then not so much.

If it took a day or more to build that, a person should probably step away from the welder....

Powder coat? Would not bother. Too expensive and literally no benefit over simple paint. As far as the brackets, extensions and arms? The brackets aren't complicated, the extensions are straight tube, inside other tubes, and panels are, well, flat...

Saying I make XX per hour at my day job, and basing the decision off of that, only applies if you actually build stuff like that for a living. I'm an IT guy, make a good salary. I don't make that salary welding and would never, so I can't say my time is worth XX with respect to what i do in my own garage. Doesn't work that way.

That all said and done, the thing might be worth paying 1000 for. That would be my comfort level but as I've said many times here, I'm a cheap *** and will build before I buy when I can. This, I can....
