Yes I did. No one showed up this past weekend so I had to wait till Tuesday. You were correct, it took me 6 hours to get the first one out and less than an hour for the second one. On the windshield I just cut the gasket and it came right out. I have checked around and windshields and gaskets are easy to find. Thanks for the advice, it was spot-on
 
Great! Glad the advice helped!

I would rather use my original windshield gasket rather than a repro. Other than the lock strip, it was still in good shape and pretty pliable.
