what is the greatest achievements you did on your car.

When I purchased a '72 Satellite Sebring Plus, the previously rebuilt 318 (re-built circa 1979) was on the garage floor of the previous owner. I stored the vehicle and the 318 at my brother's house which was rented at the time. The renters decided to power wash the motor for me. A couple of months later I arrived to install the motor, only to find it was frozen solid.

After days of pouring various concoctions thru the spark plug holes, finally got it to spin. Disassembled the motor to replace all the gaskets (except rear main). Put it back together and it started right up.

Since then I have made two road trips (over 3,000 miles each) without a break down. I guess you could say this has been my most successful "Hail Mary".

I no sooner got it running, than it began to attract atteniton. First time I filled it with fuel (ARCO), an attractive young lady stopped to speak to me. Her little brother (about 10-12 years old) was attracted to the Satellite and wanted to get a closer look. I had him sit in the driver's seat while I oogled at his sister for a couple of minutes.
