Oh hell no. It was perfect....a fresh engine just like you said. All I did was put a ridiculously milled head on it I already had and stuck a BIG solid cam in it......a few other things....matching valve springs, Rollmaster chain set......MP high pressure oil pump spring......degreed the cam......but I didn't touch the short block. As SOON as fire hit it, BAM the oil light went right out. I cannot thank you enough. It worked out really good.
