Putting a 150shot of gas on my 360 mag want to replace head bolts with arp studs. Do I need to replace the head gaskets as well the engine is fresh never been run.

If the heads have been torqued down properly & you remove the bolts to replace them with studs, do you really want to take a chance of a head gasket failure?

I'm a renege.......I wouldn't mess with studs.....you'll hate them if you ever have to pull a head, it is just that much further you have to lift......yes you can pull the studs, that just begs the question of why put studs in, in the first place.......do a set of ARP bolts and be done with it....you'll have the clamp load you want and ease of assembly/disassembly. Not having been thermal cycled I would not worry too much, change one at a time

I wouldn't use studs unless it was absolutely necessary and I wouldn't use N2o. But that's just me.

If the gasket is a Felpro 1008, I would absolutely leave it alone on a new engine that has not been fired. I also use ARP head studs (and main studs for that matter, along with nitrous many years ago)...I honestly thought it was easier to use studs over bolts because it lines everything up nicely...don't let the non-studly crowd scare you, lol.

I run studs and just zip the studs out before removing the heads. I like the larger nut when torquing the heads. Instead of the reduced sized hex on the bolts. Depends on what gasket, cometic? Sure, that is what I would run with a 10 bolt la head on nitrous.
