What are the odds of finding a full AC system (inside the car) for a '66 Valiant? Are they the same as the earlier A Bodies?

Jim

In my case, it was good! During the process of converting my wagon to a 2 door panel wagon or sedan delivery, i pulled the doors and B pillars from a 66 Valiant 2 door sedan. It still had a complete factory AC system which I went vack on another day and pulled it and cht out the firewall for a friend.

i added it to the 2 other complete underdash 65 setups I have and it appeared to be identical right doen to the hoses

Same as '65 I believe, '64 and older.....no. Those use the knee-knocker add-on unit for the evaporator. The differences you're going to find between '65 and '66 (as well as between Dart, Valiant, and Barracuda) is the control parts and face plates/bezels.

Jim. You have three options: 1. an A-body A/C under-dash system that is 73 or older. 2. knee knocker 3. aftermarket

Since he has a 66, his choice is limited to a 65 or 66 underdash system. 67 and later are different and do not fit
