Hey Guys, Need guidance/thoughts if possible. Many of you (I think) indicated that B body HP manifolds would work on my 70 Dart project. It's 383 4spd with manual steering box. I'm on low budget and not concerned with the performance difference of headers vs. the HP manifolds. Just want to confirm that many of you said the B body HP's will get it done for my 383 4spd project. Does anyone know if there are variations of these manifolds? Meaning 1970 may be of different angles than 1968 or 1972? I've found a local guy who has a nice good condition set for $350 but, I'm not certain of all the facts with my application. Any help/thoughts are very much appreciated. Thanks!

They will work but you will do some grinding on the manifolds or steering column, bearing area, they are not just a bolt it...

Thank you, HemiSSDart. I have heard of milling the manifold to head surface a few thousands to "tilt" the driver side in toward the engine a bit. Was hoping not to have to do too much grinding or milling work. Thanks again!

I shortened the bearing housing on the steering column to gain clearance when I used the B-body manifold.
It worked out real well .
Still needed to do a little grinding

I have used the B Body HP manifolds in two big block swaps.. One a 440 and one a 383.. Both were automatics. I had to shorten the steering column sleeve to the firewall. I did not have to do any additional grinding on the exhaust manifolds. I do recall reading somewhere that there may be interference with the B body HP manifolds and the 4 speed Z- bar in the A body.

Lots of **** to change...domino effect

Just get correct one for driver side (abody 383 or 440) then get a Bbody passenger one or Cbody...HP.....I have a driver side abody 383 manifold $450 ...I need shumaker tri-y headers for 71 demon with 400/727

Seems like what I'd pay total for both sides I can buy headers with correct fit? Thx Mtrhead.

If these pics don't scare you send me a PM. I may make you a killer deal on this set of 1 3/4" TTI's.....

TTI normally has a good fit. Did you order the headers that were for your body/engine?

The intention was to use them with a Borgeson box (Power steering) and a RB motor. Sold the motor and this is some of what's left lol.... I will grow tired of looking at them one day and cut em' up most likely... No, TTI did not design them for the use as I was going to with however I did make them fit lol.....
