Trick Flow small block heads

You made enough significant changes to the combo at one time(heads/intake/cam), that you’re basically starting over at this point.
And...... you gotta start somewhere.

264* cam + single plane manifold + 3500 converter....... wouldn’t be what I considered an “optimum” combo.

That being said, I wouldn’t be changing anything just yet.
I don’t like to throw parts at something until I feel like I really know what’s going on with it.
I’d suggest another outing or two, to get some “glitch free” runs on it before making changes.

2mph in the 1/8....... that’s not nothing.

Plus...... you got to go to the track and make some runs....... and it’s not broken.
You could have it a lot worse.:steering:
Agreed. That’s (logical/methodical approach) pretty much what I adhere to, or mention when commenting on others when sorting things, not throwing stuff at things. But I can see how this stuff can get the mind racing....gotta throw out the anchor! The only reason the converter is still in is because just swapping heads, cam etc was a major task and I wanted to get it back running ASAP. Plan was always to get a converter, just wanted to see where the power is and how it reacts with 1st-2nd, 2nd-3rd rpm drops. Get some actual engine characteristics for when I get a converter built vs just giving specs. But yes, gotta start somewhere and that’s the carb......I had it (and everything else) so dialed in with the previous setup...so much fun let’s do that again!
