The time has come to put tags and insurance on my car. Who has experience with Hagerty? I did a quote for 10k coverage its around 300 a year. I plan to up the amount later after its painted and finished but as it sets I think 10k is a fair amount. Let me know what you guys think of Hagerty good or bad.

I pay $279 a year for two cars.
74 Duster @ $15K agreed upon value.
75 Dart @ $15K agreed upon value.
No mileage restrictions, just no racing, no daily driver.
American Collectors Insurance.

I have researched this several times and Hagerty seems to rate the best. I plan to use them as soon as im ready to put the swinger on the road. Hopefully this summer.

Hagerty has insured the Dart GT for the last 18 years and have never made a claim....until my patio chairs fell on the hood & passenger front fender (during winter hibernation). I opened a claim and Hagerty sent an appraiser to my house. Tomorrow I take it to a local shop to see about the needed repairs.

Wish me luck!

Does anyone know of a collector/classic car insurance where you dont need a garage?

I know more then a few guys who just sent a picture of an obscure garage. No problem.
Iv e had Hagerty for almost 30 years on now 5 cars.
First claim was two days after I signed with them. 9k in damage , no problems I had a check in less then a week.
Good company.

I had Haggarty for several years, but they kept going up a lot every year. Plus, at the time, they had a lot of restrictions on how and when you could drive your car. When my agreed value policy got to about $300 I switched to Grundy. I have excellent coverage and only pay $200. Plus, they say to drive and enjoy your car.
