I think the OP was discussing striker fired CF pistols but to answer your question, I do. Any that I use for competition, if needed, I've tuned the firing pins to be able to dry fire on a empty chamber without risk of damaging the barrel face. The couple other ones like Ruger MkII I use a spent shell if I feel the overwhelming need to repeatedly dry fire, but that doesn't happen very often. There are some rifles and pistols out there that have a reputation of breaking firing pins if dry fired, and I've avoided them successfully so far.
