Quality Control Issue?
I don't find many (if any) manufacturing errors made when examining/restoring my classic Mopars. Today, I wonder if I finally found one, or if the "discrepancy" was intended as such. The subject is the perforation(s) in the unibody structure for the trunk divider latch catch in a '65 Formula S. The passenger side (photo #1) has an oval slot between the screw holes whereas the driver's side (photo #2) has no such perforation. Maybe someone else can take a peak at their own to see if they match mine?
