Day 3 on the 64 Barracuda front end (Day 1 is post #7955 and Day 2 is post #7958). Got the Mancini Torsion bar removal tool in the mail yesterday so today I resumed working on the passenger side again. Tore everything apart again (getting good at this and it comes apart easy now), attached the Mancini tool to the torsion bar and started pounding on it and nothing moved. Got a bigger hammer, then the Mancini tool started sliding on the bar. Tightened up the bolts some more and of course one snaps. after a quick break I go at it again and still nothing moves. Time for the 20 lb sledge (I used to drive spikes on the RR), after about an hour of hitting this tool, the torsion bar finally starts to move but it did fight the whole way out. Put on the new strut rod bushing, lower control arm (with new bushing) and put everything back together. Car drives really nice now with all new bushings on the front end. Front end alignment is Monday then next job is new rear springs (I'll post about that when I tackle that job).
