Cloyes timing chain keyways incorrect

[1] Unless the cam was degreed & compared in another block, I don't see how post #1 proves that the t/chain set is at fault; it could be the cam or a bit of both.
[2] I believe Mr. Gasket made an offset cam key, but I think it was one only, not a set.
[3] I have heard from reputable engine builders that some Rollmaster TC sets were out a few degrees on another engine brand; do not know if they still are or if the situation has been corrected.

I had a slant 6 Rollmaster set with two issues. One, the crank gear was mis-marked by about 7 degrees. Two, that sumbitch was so tight on the crank that I had to take an air chisel to it to get it off. Thing is, it went on fairly easily. Come to find out, a lot of others had the same tightness issue. Thankfully, @Cal Tonsley came to my rescue on that and went down to Rollmaster since it is local to him and posted me a new crank gear....and wouldn't take a dime for it. It's in my new slant six in the car right now. I owe him one for that, for sure.
