How long did it take you to decide to sell your car

I have a recurring problem. I start out wanting a nice street car, and then my drag racing genes kick in and I start to modify it to make it faster until I make it virtually unstreetable and then I sell it and it starts again. I never advertised the cuda but ended up selling it after answering a wanted ad. Not sorry to see it go, but still kept in touch with the new owner. I bought the Charger as a cruiser. Turned out it needed a valve job. Now a cam intake and carb later I seem to be relapsing.
