Here's one of many; 51 or 52 Dodge "Job Rated" (51 or 52 depending on the VIN or title). Back then, year-end left-overs were re-titled for the next year.

The serial number for my 1953 (same as number on the title) was no where on the frame - it is the number on the block.

No idea what they used if you swapped the engine. I guess you would have to change the title or stamp a new number on the block.
