Anything can be dangerous if not used properly. Remember the 3 wheel version? That was a disaster waiting to happen. Those and the e-bikes are a source of contention. The e-bike should never ever have been allowed to run on the streets. They are way under powered and top speed doesn't even come near to 30mph. Then add a rider which just compounds the issue. Here you don't need a license or insurance but do need a helmet. I had a girl come off the sidewalk (which isn't allowed) and almost run into the Cuda. If it wasn't the fact that I heard her scream she would have been right into me. I've complained to our government about these death traps but unfortunately it falls on deaf ears. Someone obviously got the palm greased to allow these things on the road. Perfect for campsites etc but not the highways and byways
