Jim is a badass for sure. Still mashin’ the taters in...well...his retirement age. And a damn smart and nice guy too.

And that launch is about picture perfect for a stick shift Stocker. Absolute poetry in motion. He is a multi-time National Record holder in NHRA and AHRA.

I’ve known Jim for almost 20years. You won’t meet a nicer guy. I’m proud to call him a friend.

He’s a wealth of information. Has forgotten more about stock racing than most will ever know. He’s built all my motors since I met him. He’s going to build me my first Hemi.

Didn't do those headers any good. lol

That’s a fact. I first me Jim the weekend before Labor Day 1981 at the AHRA National PIR. I know live about a 25 minute drive from him. When he starts talking I stop and listen. A very sharp man.

I spoke with him other day, headers have a very slight rub on tubes. he was testing short burnouts. no smoke, hoosiers seem to like that, track temp was 107 deg up to 126. later on . on that pass. motor bogged, let car come down hard, he made adjustments to correct it later on.
