How old were u when u had a burger from them? I was 19. First one was a Big Mac. My favourite is the quarter pounder with cheese. Kim

A couple of Big Macs in my college days, but haven't been to McDonald's in 35 years.

dont recall 10,12?

i do remember the first toy i got from there...it was a little ursula (the evil character from the little mermaid) with a suction cup on the back so you could put it in the bathtub

then i came to the US and i was blown away that they did not have the "special sauce" they sell in europe

(it was part of their hook and i couldnt believe they didnt have them here)

at some point people reverse engineered it started selling it in stores
because this sauce is a copy of macdonalds sauce, and nothing is more American then the golden arches, guess what this sauce is generally called?

I can't remember.... but I had an older brother that worked at Hardees when I was about 6. So, probably sometime around there or so.. maybe earlier, who knows..

We rarely go there these days... but I like their fries still. But really I can't remember the last time I had a hamburger from McD's. Had a spicy chicken from there not too long ago...

McDs has gone really down hill. Drones that work there are marginal to say the least. I like their chocolate chip cookies and coffee. Went into one in Cali on my way up to the NW. Ordered cookies and coffee. Got in the truck and open the bag. One cookie and a coffee for $4.50. Lots of McFuckery under the Golden Arches.

Burger, fries, and a Coke back in the 60's. (back when they were 15 cents) We liked Henry's better. They had tenderloins, onion rings, and malts.

I occasionally get a BIG MAC ATTACK and cater to my whim and order a meal. Back in my smoking days…eat 3 of those bad boys in one sitting along with fries and a coke. The fries are the best, when their hot.

I think McDonalds is generally way overpriced for what you get.
My 'frugal' go to is 2 Hot'n'Spicy McChicken sandwiches, add pickles, and a large Diet Coke. I can currently get out of there for $4.89 here in SoCal.
Cheap lunch!

Yeah I remember that commercial. So that's probably the first time I eat at one. '77 or'78.

1966 or 67, in LA California, 8 or nine years old, fish sandwiches and fries.
I can go to a restaurant and enjoy a good home cooked meal for the same cost of a meal from that place...

I was 16 or 17 the 1st time I ever had McDonalds.I know I was driving.
It wasn't that I'd never are out, there just wasn't any around close.
There used to be a place here that I loved called Burger Chef. The company that owns Hardee's bought them up and turned them into Hardee's. Huge mistake! You won't find any Hardee's in Cincinnati anymore, or even Denny's for that matter.
I haven't been to to many fast food restaurants since COVID, I don't eat in my car.
McDonalds is like anything else, it's ok if you don't over do it. There are places I'd rather go, but it's okay once in a while or if that's all there is and you're hungry.

I was 9 years old in 1967 when the first McDonald's was built in Wauwatosa, WI (Milwaukee area) Burger, fries and a Coke and you got change back from your $ one dollar bill.

I eat there now and it's like taken an explosive laxative.
You know the old saying "Like **** through Goose".

I'm so used to the taste of Diet Coke that I can't stand the taste of regular Coke any more - just too sweet tasting.
I actually prefer Diet Dr. Pepper.

A friend of mine drinks Diet Dr Pepper with Kesslers Whiskey.
His famous saying is "you cant drink all day if you dont start in the morning ".

15 would be 1965 ..don't like ketchup or mustard (yeah I know, been hearing it forever  ) so I had to order plain cheeseburgers, but they were always hot.. Henry's was our stop.. you could get 1/4 lb. of fries there ..I would dip them in there shakes:) (again, I know ).. 15 cents burger 18 cents cheeseburgers, wow what you could do with a buck. I was making $1.25 per at the gas station, off the books, so dinner was less than an hours pay.

Early 60s. My grandmother thought the place was a gift from god himself.
Much later I acquired an addiction to Fillet o Fish (or whatever it is) and fries.
