What's up with Classic and Legendary ..?
The saga continues... So, my Demon had the hardboard / cardboard headliner..no repop on those so I went with the ABS, foam backed tier grain vinyl from Classic.. The sail panels arrived and not only was I COMPLETELY confused with the material they were ( just foam with a darkened surface ), one of them had obvious "dent lines"..looked wavy.. So I call Classic and explain, and they were nice enough throughout the convo...even said they'd ship out two new ones ASAP without waiting to get the returns...then said just pick out the best 2 of the 4...lol. Fair enough, as long as I'm not having to compromise on quality. I then ask about the material.. I said it's really not what I was expecting and it is in no way a vinyl material.. I was assured that's just the way it is...best they can do.
Well, I just got the replacements and THEY'RE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT MATERIAL...more like what I was expecting..more like a vinyl type covering...they look great...EXCEPT, one of them has the same issue as the first set...wrinkled, wavy...not uniform..WTF...??? I guess everything is so far behind production wise, they just ship whatever they turnout.... Normally, at this point, I'd be out for blood...rip 'em a new one type thing..throw a jaw mashing elbow at the first person that eyeballed me wrong...but... I just laughed that, "unbelievable", "this can't really be happening" kind of laugh... The laugh that makes you appear to be insane.
Good news, and perhaps bad news... My carpet and main part of headliner shipping Monday... If they're in anyway subpar, I may just lose it then... Maybe by a Mustang...or a Chevelle..ugh...
