Thanks in advance for any help. My dad recently passed away and I am trying to settle his estate. He had a 66 Barracuda that is all original with the exception of a new paint job he had done a few years back. Nothing else has been done to it to my knowledge. It has an original slant 6 motor. I was hoping you experts could give me an idea what its value is. As per his estate I have to sell everything and divide it amongst my siblings and myself. Thanks in advance for your input.

I have no idea, but that's a nice car.
I'd have a hard time parting with it.

It sounds like at this point he needs to come up with a value so they can determine the combined value of the estate to then split accordingly. I’ve got no clue since I’m not knowledgeable on the early A’s but I’ll also say that appears to be in nice shape.

Nice car. I would say $10-12,000.
$15,000+ if it was a Formula S 273-4 and/or a 4 speed car.

Sorry for the loss of your Dad. That is a very nice car! I'd say it's probably worth between $10K to $14K, depending on the buyer. Like my friend Tommy used to say, "There's an *** for every seat!" You just gotta find the one for that seat.

Thank you so much, we have it advertised at 11,000 so it looks like I am in the correct ball park.
You can start a sale thread here as well. The ads are free and it is a nice car that many member hear would be proud to own.

Very nice, but there are some changes: seat upholstery, door panels, wheels. All original no but a really nice car

From the Hagerty valuation page:
CURRENT & HISTORICAL VALUES

View current vehicle values and see how they’ve changed over time in a 3-year, 5-year and to-date intervals. Compare these values to other vehicles and benchmark financial indices.
Current Values
  • #2 Excellent$20,500
  • #3 Good$14,500
  • #4 Fair$10,100
Value Adjustments
-30% or 6-cyl. +15% for 4-spd.

So $14,500 for a car in good condition minus the 30% for six cyl puts you at $10,150. Right near your $11,000 with a little wiggle room or slightly higher for being a touch above "good" condition.

1966 PLYMOUTH BARRACUDA 273-180hp (8cyl-2V) AT
#4 #3 #2 #1
2dr Fstbk 5050 9800 13900 22400
Add:
273-235hp (8cyl-4V) 20%
4spd manual trans 10%
Air conditioning 10%
Formula S trim 10%
Deduct:
225-145hp (6cyl-1V) -15%
3spd manual transmission -3%

Too much not original (and not tasteful, in my opinion) for me to command over $10k for a slant six Barracuda, BUT the market is kind of crazy right now so you might get it.
