Where did you and your car go today?

We are heading to a show in Kerrville today. This was last weekend at the local burger joint.

OK I know this is a Mopar site but mine is being restored and the only thing I have that is fun to drive is my 29 Ford AA truck to drive around and I went on a 20 mile trip with the old gal down a county road and I had a blast at 20 MPH 30 if I'm lucky.

Had to go get a couple of sacks of garden mulch, then hit Triangle Diner for some lunch.(It's a 50s/60s retro-style place..good burgers!)

Crossed enemy lines and went to the Honda farm to get some tail light bulbs.
One of the sales guys actually knew what it was after only seeing it from the front (no emblems or anything) and he complimented it and asked me about it...so I guess they're not all bad!:D

Cruised around Pine Flat Lake a bit. Gorgeous day. Managed to drop a line in a couple of spots but didn't catch sheeat. Oh well, as the saying goes...."a bad day fishin beats a good day workin!"

Wife's been craving French Fries, so we fixed that today at the new double decker "stand" down at the waterfront park. Also made a delivery to Daughter's house. 76 mile cruise today. I put 7.5 gallons in the tank and it's gone, so I guess the Dart gets 10 miles to the gallon. So nice to drive now after adjusting the steering box the other day. No more sawing the wheel in the corners, absolutely zero play in the wheel and she runs straight down the road hands off ! I don't think that's coffee in her thermos...

I got up early and took a 2 hour cruise north of town. Then back to work on my son's truck! It was a great way to start the day!

The baby blue Dart is a sweet heart of a car mostly original belongs to Mechanic Mark and we had a great time just talking and we all at the Hotel at night gathered in lawn chairs and just bull shitted all night.

Can't get better than this.

Went to our church's 4th annual charity car cruise and came home with a "Cruiser's Choice" award (my buddy Greg (on the left) also got "Cruiser's Choice" Award with his '36 Plymouth (340-727)).
